As a requirement of the Environmental Management Systems (EMS) OSPAR Recommendation 2003/5, all Operators of offshore installations are required to produce an Annual Public Statement detailing activities carried out during the previous calendar year. The Offshore Directive defines both well and installation as Operators, therefore they are required to provide EMS verification.

An electronic copy of your organisation’s Annual Public Statement must be submitted to opred@energysecurity.gov.uk by 1 July 2026.
Operators who did not carry out any offshore operations in the UKCS during the 2025 calendar year must make a response to this effect by email before 1 July 2026.
