The Environment Agency (EA) has made several updates to the guidance on the standard rules and generic risk assessment for new and existing, low risk, stationary medium combustion plant:

Hydrogen has been added as a new fuel type with corresponding criteria and ELVs including using a blend with natural gas.

Gas oil substitutes have been added as a fuel type with corresponding criteria.

Caps and Cowls and non-vertical stacks are now permitted.

Clarification has been added around use in an AQMA where there is a relevant air quality plan.

MCERTS monitoring has been added as an option.

There have been various updates to the interpretation section to improve understanding.
