DESNZ has opened a consultation to assess whether the Storage of Carbon Dioxide (Access to Infrastructure) Regulations 2011 remain effective and how they should be updated to reflect today’s CCUS policy environment, support the development of early and future CCUS infrastructure, and align with wider domestic and global emissions-reduction goals.
This consultation now closes on 20 February 2026.
