The MCA has published Amendment 2 of MGN 557, which updates the notice to align with the new Merchant Shipping (Marine Equipment) Regulations 2025, removes outdated EU and post-Brexit transitional references, and refreshes terminology to reflect the fully UK-based conformity assessment and enforcement framework, while retaining the same overall structure and purpose of the market-surveillance guidance.
