OPRED has updated its guidance on fees and charges for the offshore oil and gas sector, relocating previous fee charging regulations to a dedicated page. The update affects how environmental and regulatory fees are accessed for activities including offshore oil and gas exploration, production, gas unloading and storage, and carbon dioxide storage.
The older regulations, dating back to 2015, are now housed under the “Oil and gas: previous fee charging regulations” section. A link to this new location can be found within the Regulations sub-section of “The Pollution Prevention and Control (Fees) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2022” on the main page. This change aims to improve clarity and accessibility for stakeholders navigating the regulatory framework.
