The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has published guidance relating to emergency response planning for at-sea renewable energy installations – including wind, wave, tide and current – and requirements for Search And Rescue helicopter operations in and around OREIs.
This information is required to be used when formulating emergency response plans and site safety management systems. It should be noted that hub emergency response co-operation plans (ERCo) plans should be developed and put in place for the construction, production operation and the decommissioning phases of any OREI.
