The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has published guidance making vessels aware of a defect in the PAROC Marine Navis Slab/Mat/Wired 60 structural fire protection. It has been found to not meet the 60-minute requirement, instructions for what to do if it is found onboard are contained within.
If the product is found on board the supplier should be contacted and a remedial action plan agreed upon with your local marine office.
