Job Description

Due to continued business growth, Weston Compliance Services (WCS) is looking to recruit an additional regulatory compliance consultant.  With new projects in offshore, onshore, oil and gas, renewable and low carbon energy sectors, both in the UK and overseas, WCS can offer an opportunity to work with a truly diverse project portfolio. 

Duties will include various regulatory compliance responsibilities including:

  • Establishing permits and licence registers
  • Managing process of acquiring permits and licences
  • Determining applicable legislation for customer assets during design, construct and operate phases
  • Evaluating customer facilities, procedures and competency for their ability to demonstrate compliance
  • Perform regulatory compliance audits on customer internal operations and third-party suppliers.

Requirements

  • Higher education (e.g. degree) in a scientific, environmental or process engineering discipline (exception may be made for equivalent experience)
  • Five years plus in the energy sector, including working with health, safety and environmental regulations and regulatory compliance
  • Working knowledge of operators, major contractor organisations and regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent team player with a proactive and positive attitude and be confident in liaising with colleagues, industrial clients and regulators.
  • Excellent report writing, technical reviewing and communication skills – all with an attention to detail.
  • Good competency in use of computer systems
