SEPA has published guidance on the use of Best Practicable Means (BPM) for monitoring NORM-contaminated items, setting out recommended approaches for monitoring and assessing items to determine whether they remain subject to radioactive substances controls and how they should be managed, including when being transferred for cleaning, reuse or disposal.
