The Environment Agency (EA) and Defra have updated the guidance carrying out a risk assessment if applying for a bespoke permit that includes discharging hazardous chemicals and elements to surface water, to provide more comprehensive support, including additional detail on preparing for and completing screening tests, preparing data for modelling, clearer advice on assessing discharges from installations and waste operations, and expanded links to related GOV.UK guidance.
