Defra has launched a consultation proposing to reform the hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) phasedown under the F-gas Regulations in Great Britain by adjusting the schedule from 2027 and introducing further reduction steps from 2030 to 2050 – aiming to increase the target reduction from 79% by 2030 to 98.6% by 2048.
This consultation closes on 17 December 2025.
