Defra has published the outcome of the consultation regarding how the Marine Recovery Fund (MRF) will function.
Views were sought about the proposed MRF, including:

the application process

the costs and charges
-
how it will deliver compensatory measures.
The MRF will deliver industry-funded, strategic measures to compensate for the adverse effects of offshore wind developments on marine protected areas. This will support the clean power mission.
This consultation closed on 12 May 2025.
