Defra launched a consultation proposing to extend the UK REACH transitional registration deadlines currently set for October 2026, October 2028, and October 2030, as well as the corresponding requirement for the Health and Safety Executive to carry out compliance checks on 20% of submitted dossiers.
The preferred option would move the deadlines to October 2029, 2030, and 2031, providing industry with an approximately two‑year transition period to prepare for revised information requirements under the still‑developing Alternative Transitional Registration model,
