The OPSS is seeking views on the introduction across the UK of measures in the EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230.
EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 applies in the EU from January 2027, bringing in changes intended to clarify and future-proof the legislation in this area, including the creation of common specifications, a move to paperless documentation, and obligations on all actors in the supply chain. The Government is considering whether to introduce these measures across the UK.
This call for evidence closes on 20 October 2025.
