The Environment Agency (EA) has issued a new regulatory position statement (RPS), ‘Treating and using water containing concrete at construction sites: RPS 287’.
This RPS does not change the legal requirement to get an environmental permit for a waste operation when you store, treat or use waste water containing concrete at construction sites, however the EA will not normally take enforcement action if you do not comply with this legal requirement if you meet the requirements in the RPS.
