The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) has published the government’s response to the consultation on regulatory proposals relating to the carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) transport and storage Revenue Support Agreement counterparty direction. Its response provides a high-level summary, highlighting some of the key comments on the proposed revenue support regulations and position on each question.
DESNZ will continue to work with the devolved administrations to ensure that the proposals take account of devolved responsibilities and policies across the UK to facilitate successful deployment. They will also deliver these revenue support regulations as soon as departmental and Parliamentary timelines allow.
