The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has published this Marine Guidance Note (MGN) to draw attention to procedures and minimum levels of service for the testing and maintenance of EPIRBs; automatically including the ship’s position in distress alerts; and, supplying radio installations from an emergency source of power.
