The UK ETS Authority has updated the participating in the UK ETS page with further details on the new permitting, monitoring, reporting and verification system.
The ETSWAP system will continue to be used by UK ETS and CORSIA participants until it is replaced by the new Manage your UK Emissions Trading Scheme Reporting Service (METS).
To meet GOV.UK naming convention standards, we have changed the name of this replacement service from Permitting, Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (PMRV), to Manage your UK Emissions Trading Scheme Reporting Service (METS).
METS will be launched in a phased roll out to UK ETS installations operators from summer 2023 and UK ETS aircraft operators and CORSIA aeroplane operators from autumn 2023.

Additionally, we have created a new collection page of consolidated resources for operators of the scheme and wider stakeholders, which brings together in one place the operator guidance (both technical and ‘how to comply’) as well as reports and tools, such as operator templates and allocation tables.
The new page also includes the recently published UK ETS Regulators Report for 2021, which provides a statistical analysis of the permitting, monitoring, reporting and verification activities, as well as scheme compliance, for that year. The report is an analogue of the Article 21 questionnaire that is submitted by Member States under the EU ETS.
