The purpose of these guidelines is to help Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) operator members to develop their Asset Methane Action Plans (AMAPs). Through the North Sea Transition Deal (NSTD) and the subsequent Methane Action Plan (MAP), the UK offshore oil & gas industry has committed to reducing its methane emissions.
This guideline provides a framework for operators to identify, quantify and finally mitigate the methane emissions from their assets. Furthermore, the guidelines provide an overview of the UK regulatory requirements within the context of international regulations and commitments.
