The UK ETS Authority has published an update for the issuance of 2022 free allocation allowances for Stationary Installations and Aviation operators. Operators should now have received their free allocation allowances for 2022.
Each installation’s free allocation has been published in an Allocation Table. This will be updated periodically to reflect changes in free allocation.
Some instances of Free Allocation amendments will be processed after 28 February 2022, and these will not be reflected in the published Allocation Table until approved by the Authority. In addition, some 2022 Free Allocation allowances will be withheld; your regulator will notify you if you are impacted in this way.
If you are included in the Allocation Table, you must submit a verified Activity Level Report (ALR). For 2021 the deadline for submission was 30 June. From 2022 onwards the deadline each year to submit these reports will be 31 March.
