These Regulations are made in part in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular paragraphs (a), (d), (e), (ea) and (g) of section 8(2) of that Act) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
It makes amendments to the following regulations:
– SI 2008/1597 The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008
– SI 2016/1105 The Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016
– SI 2016/1153 The Measuring Instruments Regulations 2016
– SI 2017/1206 The Radio Equipment Regulations 2017
– UK Retained EU Regulation 2017/1354 specifying how to present the information provided for in Article 10(10) of Directive 2104/53/EU
