UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS) auctions will begin on 19 May 2021 and will be hosted by ICE Futures Europe (ICE). During 2021 auctions will be held every 2 weeks following this date, as set out in the auction calendar published by ICE on 26 February. The total number of allowances available for auction in 2021, as set out in the auction calendar, is around 83 million. This is more than half of the total UK ETS 2021 cap of around 156 million allowances.
