This Marine Information Note (MIN) provides information on amendments to MARPOL Annex II related to the carriage of noxious liquid substances in bulk, which comes into force on 1 January 2021.
This MIN also provides information on the 2020 Edition of the IBC Code and amendments incorporated into this edition of the Code which come into force on 1 January 2021, and outlines some of the key changes. Consequential amendments to the BCH Code are also outlined.
This MIN relates to international requirements implemented in the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution from Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk) Regulations 2018 and the Merchant Shipping (Dangerous Goods and Marine Pollutants) Regulations 1997.
