This Statement is issued jointly by the Environment Agency (EA), the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA), Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) to set out how they will comply with their legal responsibilities relating to radiation protection experts as required by the Basic Safety Standards Directive (Ref. 1).
The statement has been updated to ensure consistency with Environment Agencies’ Guidance on Radioactive Waste Advisers on when operators can apply to have their corporate arrangements approved.
