This MIN describes a scheme for the use of alternative measures by UK registered vessels operating under the requirements of the main international conventions to meet the intents of the requirements for survey, audit or inspection as necessary. The scheme will remain in place until formally withdrawn by the MCA when the restrictions to the activities of the relevant survey organisations resulting from the COVID-19 Pandemic are judged to have sufficiently eased internationally so as to no longer make its continuation necessary.
