Guidance Document: The Offshore Environmental Civil Sanctions Regulations 2018 (link)
This guidance document is designed to set out how OPRED will apply the civil sanctions regime under the 2018 Regulations; how it makes decisions, and the processes followed by it. These civil penalties are distinct from the civil penalties available under the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS). As OPRED is the regulator for offshore oil and gas installations only, this guidance document is only relevant to offshore oil and gas installations.
