Environmental Alert 01/2014: PON1 Reporting Requirements (link)
This Environmental Alert reports that a number of operators are failing to comply with the current PON1 reporting requirements. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency have advised DECC that many reports have neglected to include a telephone notification to the nearest Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Coastguard Station. In addition, many reports have fallen outwith the required 6 hour timeframe.
The Alert reminds operators of the PON1 reporting requirements and requests that they follow the guidance correctly.
