This document explains the requirements of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013 (link). Producers have obligations both in terms of the EEE they sell and in terms of financing the collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of WEEE.
This guidance is intended for businesses, public and third sector organizations and individuals involved in the sale, purchase and disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) from 1 January 2014.
This version of the guidance replaces the draft document that was issued in January this year.
